The development of entrepreneurial entities engaged in food production is an important
factor in ensuring food security, increasing employment, creating value added, and strengthening regional
economic competitiveness. The study analyzes the development trends, structural characteristics, key
constraints, and prospects of food-producing enterprises in Tashkent Region. The analysis covers the period
2010–2025, while the forecast horizon extends to 2030. Statistical, comparative, and correlation analyses,
multiple regression, and forecasting methods are employed. Particular attention is paid to production output,
employment, investment, fixed assets, net profit, and wages. According to the author’s calculations based
on the presented data, food production increased from UZS 16.7 trillion in 2015 to UZS 152.1 trillion in
2025, while investment rose from UZS 2.8 trillion to UZS 23 trillion. The results of the multiple regression
model indicate that investment and net profit have the strongest positive association with production output.
The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.992. According to the forecast results, food production may reach
approximately UZS 265 trillion by 2030. The findings indicate that the future development of the regional
food industry should prioritize deep processing, cluster cooperation, cold-chain logistics, digitalization,
investment attraction, export-oriented production, and stronger cooperation between agricultural producers
and processing enterprises.
