This article presents a systematic and analytical examination of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry
and the dynamics of business entities operating within the sector. It provides a detailed analysis of official
statistical data for 2016–2026, tourism service exports, direct investment attracted to the sector, and structural
development trends in accommodation facilities, including hotels, hostels, family guesthouses, and spa
hotels. The study conducts an econometric assessment of the impact of the mahallabay system on family
entrepreneurship and explores opportunities to increase the tourism sector’s contribution to GDP. In addition,
sanitation and hygiene facilities, which constitute an important component of tourism infrastructure, are
analysed by category. Based on the findings, scientifically grounded practical proposals and recommendations
are developed to support the sector’s future development
