Abstract

This article examines methodological approaches to the economic assessment and forecasting of
regional development and analyzes their potential application to the regions of Uzbekistan. In the course of the
study, a comprehensive system of indicators was developed to assess the level of regional economic development. This
system includes key socio-economic indicators such as gross regional product, industrial production, investment in fixed
capital, household income, employment levels, and foreign trade indicators. The study employs statistical and comparative
analysis, economic-mathematical modeling, and forecasting methods. The socio-economic development indicators of
Uzbekistan’s regions were analyzed, revealing notable differences in their levels of economic development. In addition,
econometric forecasting methods were applied to assess the dynamics of regional economic development and identify
future growth trends. The results indicate considerable variation in the level of economic development across the country’s
regions, highlighting the importance of further improving regional economic policy. Based on the findings, scientific recommendations
were developed to enhance the system of regional economic development management and forecasting.
