ЦИФРОВАЯ ЭКОНОМИКА КАК ДРАЙВЕР ЭКОНОМИЧЕСКОГО РОСТА

Abstract

The digital economy has become one of the key drivers of economic growth in the twentyfi rst century. Information and communication technologies, big data, artifi cial intelligence, and platformbased business models are fundamentally transforming the structure of production, trade, and employment. The theoretical and practical mechanisms through which the digital economy infl uences economic growth are analyzed by comparing international experience with the digital transformation processes taking place in Uzbekistan. The study is based on ICT sector indicators for 2017-2026, data on the share of the digital economy in GDP, the dynamics of IT service exports, and materials from the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy. The fi ndings indicate that Uzbekistan’s digital sector is developing rapidly; however, its share of GDP remains below the corresponding levels observed in developed countries. Based on the fi ndings, scientifi c and practical recommendations are proposed to enhance the contribution of the digital economy to the country’s economic growth.
