ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT ASSORTMENT DIVERSIFICATION ON MARKET STABILITY

The article assesses the impact of agricultural product assortment diversification on market stability. Systematic and comparative analysis, structural modeling, and the Herfindahl–Hirschman and Simpson indices were applied. A conceptual model integrating price, supply, and demand channels was developed on the basis of open official data and scholarly studies. The results indicate that lower correlation among individual products contributes to greater income stability, differences in harvesting periods help stabilize seasonal supply patterns, and a broader product assortment contributes to the diversification of the buyer base. Uzbekistan’s crop structure was found to exhibit a high level of diversification. Based on the findings, the development of regional revenue-based indices, further enhancement of processing and storage infrastructure, improvement of market information systems, and greater coordination between diversification strategies and other agricultural risk-management instruments are proposed.Keywords
